A lot of scientific studies proved already that the use of LPG as alternative fuel for internal combustion engines is advantageous from several points of view. The voltage demand of the spark plug is considerably reduced by the silver centre electrode which has a small diameter along with reduced ground electrode. The silver center electrode has a small diameter and electrode gap 0,55 mm, 0,7 mm and 0,9 mm. The subsequent increase in medium effective pressure in the engine cylinder and balancing of values of medium effective pressure during individual working cycles contribute to increased engine power.BRISK Silver spark plugs have special shape of spark gap which enables easier access of gases to flashover. Better mixture ignition, and thus higher combustion speed, and faster flame front spread, especially at the beginning of combustion, allows better fuel energy utilization. The spark plug gap is not shielded by the side electrode, so the mixture has unlimited access. Ionization and spark-over occurs automatically together with an optimum composition of the fuel/air mixture. The massive ground electrode is the integrated part of the spark plug shell which provides superior heat removal from the active part of the spark plug, improving the resistance to pre-ignition and electrode burn-off. The compact design of the spark gap minimizes turbulence and therefore increases the volumetric flow. Since the flame front propagates evenly in all directions the best place for ignition is in the center of the combustion chamber. Shifting the spark gap deeper inside the combustion chamber provides better access of the air fuel mixture to the point of ignition. In addition, there is no need for indexing of the spark plugs since the plug is symmetrical and there is no ground electrode restricting the access of the air fuel mixture. Since the air fuel mixture inside the combustion chamber is not homogenous (has different concentration at different places) this results in faster and better ignition of each ignition cycle. This special feature ensures that the spark occurs at the best possible place for ignition, unlike in the conventional spark plug design where the spark always occurs in the same confined place.
